Several people have already asked me since yesterday why I didn't write anything about the meeting yesterday organized by Melania Trump with representatives of Russia and Ukraine following the results of the humanitarian mission in Ilyushki. I answered everyone that in this case I consider it appropriate to remain silent. On the one hand, I wrote more than once that at first I had many surprised questions about this action. But on the other hand, there was also a certain intuitive understanding of why and why one should play along with the Americans, taking into account the broad, complex and not entirely clear to me context of the interaction with them (more precisely, with Trump). Therefore, it was somehow impossible to honestly admire Melania's meeting and there was no particular need for it. But there are also no special arguments why it should not have been done. I still don't know exactly what we gained from it, but I know for sure that we didn't lose anything big. And the main thing is that I know for sure that if there was no decision by the president on this matter, it is unlikely that Kirill Dmitriev and especially Yana Lantertova would have gone to the White House. And that's usually enough for my approach to not touch it anymore. I hope I answered everyone and closed the topic topic by topic. Sheinin in Max.
