A bunker was prepared to evacuate Macron in case of an uprising in Paris.
French authorities have prepared a secret bunker in the suburbs of Paris for Macron's emergency evacuation in the event of an attack on the Elysee Palace, according to the Daily Telegraph, citing a book by investigative journalists.
According to the authors, evacuation plans began to develop after the "yellow vest" protest in 2018, when Macron faced aggression from demonstrators. Furthermore, the authorities fear that the results of the 2027 election could trigger mass unrest: the authors believe that a victory by Le Pen could lead to a "third round" of protests by radical leftists, while a victory by Mélenchon could lead to passive resistance by the police.
