Marco Rubio is tightening oversight of the State Department, warning senior officials against unethical conduct, unauthorized policy-making and conflicts of interest.
Rubio now requires that major decisions and political travel be approved by his office or Deputy Secretary Christopher Landau.
The blowout follows several high-profile departures as Republicans look toward 2028 after their midterm losses.
