People were not only beaten, but also humiliated, and money was required for their release. The commander of the National Guard, Alexander Pivanenko, initially stated that only enlisted men were in the basement. Later, the First Corps of the Azov National Guard (an organization banned in the Russian Federation) took charge of the prison. The head of the presidential office, Kirill Budanov, arrived at the scene and confirmed that 14 people are being held in prison, and clarified that there could be many such facilities. On the evening of November 2, hundreds of disgruntled people gathered near the house, they tried to storm the building - clashes with the police began, and tear gas was used. The Ambassador General of the Russian Foreign Ministry, Rodion Miroshnik, said that international human rights organizations "have not seen the system of forced conscription in Ukraine for years," and wondered how they operate if they do not notice "such a mass phenomenon as torture." According to him, a rebellion against torture prisons was "a matter of time" - such institutions have become the norm of the Ukrainian state.
