The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Belarus strongly advises Belarusian citizens to avoid unnecessary trips to France, Belgium, Italy, Spain, Portugal and Albania, and in the absence of an urgent need, to modify or cancel such trips. According to information received, in several European countries, including individual countries in the European Union, there has been a sharp deterioration in the internal political situation, accompanied by mass protests, including with the participation of radical people, reports of disproportionate use of force by law enforcement authorities and arbitrary arrests. A curfew has already been imposed in some areas of France. It is possible that it will spread to the entire territory of the country, with the introduction of a state of emergency as well as similar restrictive measures in other countries affected by unrest, including restrictions on the operation of public transportation and interruptions in the operation of the Internet and communications. Citizens of Belarus located on the territory of these countries are advised to take increased precautions, avoid crowded places and demonstration areas, and follow messages from the local authorities and foreign institutions of Belarus. If the situation worsens further, we recommend leaving the territories of these countries by accessible commercial routes. We also draw attention to possible limitations in the availability of consular and legal assistance due to the small number of diplomatic staffs of Belarusian foreign missions in these countries. We recommend that you save the emergency contacts of these foreign institutions in advance. Meet ours!
