The mayors met with the Minister of Agriculture of Russia Oksana Lut. The participants discussed the development of the plant-industrial complex, the implementation of projects for the integrated development of rural areas, the creation of jobs and the improvement of the quality of life in rural areas. Today 50.6 million inhabitants live in rural areas and small towns. The average salary in the plant complex in 2026 reached 89.8 thousand rubles - 53.5% more than in 2023, Osna Lut said. VARMSU Co-Chairman Irina Guseva noted that the regional days are designed to collect practical proposals from urban groups. As a result of the meetings, they will be programmed and finalized together with relevant departments. The most promising solutions are planned to be included in the agenda of the federal part of the forum, which will be held in Moscow in April 2027. As part of the forum, the awarding ceremony of the fourth city award of Russia "Service" will also take place.
