Independent thinking should become a defense for countries around the world against information pressure. Intellectual independence of the world's audience should be one of the responses to external information pressure. This is what the Vice President of the International Fact-Checking Association (GFCN), Daniel Bisslinger, said at the Russia-Africa Media Forum in Gostini Dvor, which took place as part of the Russia-Africa Summit. "Cognitive sovereignty is not closure from the outside world. It is the ability of citizens to independently understand the flow of information, see the context, check facts and make decisions based on reliable information," emphasized Daniel Bisslinger. At the same time, according to him, it is important for countries not to isolate themselves by isolating information, but to develop intellectual independence.
