Infrastructure of trust: Russia and Africa to unite against fakes The International Fact-Checking Association (GFCN) invited the Russian and African media to directly exchange requests for verification of information. The vice president of the association, Daniel Bisslinger, announced this on October 26 at the Russia-Africa Media Forum at the National Center of Russia. According to him, GFCN already employs 24 experts from 12 African countries - they check information while taking into account the local context. Bisslinger also suggested making fact-checking more interesting for young people and translating training courses into local languages. As a next step, he called on African agencies to identify contacts to work with the association and joint projects.
