A local study found that nearly three-quarters of young men who have not yet been vaccinated against the human papillomavirus (HPV) are willing to get vaccinated, but the actual vaccination rate among the men surveyed was only 11.4%. Studies have indicated that insufficient awareness of HPV, the cost of the vaccine and the inconvenience are the main factors that prevent young men from getting vaccinated.
