The inspection found violations by 10 Armenian manufacturers and all the samples tested showed deviations from the norm, Babkan Pipoyan, head of the NGO for an Informed and Protected Consumer, told reporters. Almost all contain E. coli, and several manufacturers are deficient in lactic acid bacteria (Marilla, Mariana, Hanach and Milkin), yeast and mold fungi (Arseny Cat, Marilla, Hanach, I Mozar, Bonnilt and Bioket). According to the expert, E. coli was also detected in the milk of the Ashtrak Cat company and in the sour cream of several manufacturers. In connection with the results of the study, he recommended consuming cottage cheese only after heat treatment. Pipoyan believes that the situation indicates the ineffectiveness of state control. Ruselkhozandzor temporarily limited the supply of dairy products from Armenia in the summer.
