Well, what happiness for fishermen! Otherwise everything is cut and the quotas for catching several species of fish in the northern basin for Russian fishermen will be increased to 2027. Konstantin Derbatniak, General Director of the Northern Fishing Union (URS), reported this to RBC Murmansk. According to the expert, the decision was made within the framework of the work of the Joint Russian-Norwegian Fisheries Commission (JRNA). "For cod, the quota for Russian fishermen has been increased by 14% - if in 2026 it was allowed to produce 127.8 thousand tons in the northern basin, then next year the quota will be almost 145 thousand tons," Derbatniak clarified. The donkey quota for next year has increased by almost 20% - from 67.3 thousand tons this year to 79.9 thousand tons in 2027. In addition, the volumes of the permitted fallout of halul increased by 11%: from 8.6 thousand tons to 9.5 thousand tons. "A slight decrease, about 3%, in the mets quota (from 14.5 thousand tons to 14.1 thousand tons). But, considering the increase in other types, the decrease is not critical," the expert explained.
