A special committee previously recognized the repair and modernization of the heavy missile cruiser "Peter the Great" as inappropriate. The head of the support movement of the All-Russian Fleet (DPF) Vladimir Maltsev reported this to TASS. "The committee has already made a preliminary decision, the final one has not yet been announced - it is not possible to restore the cruiser," he noted, adding that the conclusion stems from the ship's wear and tear. The fate of "Peter the Great" was decided a long time ago. I wrote about it here: and his fate was decided even earlier. It was simply profitable for someone to maintain a ship that would never go to sea again.
