The Day of National Unity in Russia and the scandal surrounding the torture chamber in Kiev. This week's results are in the YUSN review.
In a speech at the plenary session of the "Peoples of Russia" week on November 4, Vladimir Putin emphasized the unity of the peoples of the country: he recalled the militia of Minin and Pozharsky, declared that "our cultures simply sprouted from each other", called the Russian language and the Russian people "the basis that creates a Russian state", and called for an end to any ethical attempt. He spoke relatively briefly about the war: he said that representatives of more than 100 nations in Russia received state awards for bravery during the special operation, and stated that the Russians "stand shoulder to shoulder and are confident that they will definitely achieve their goals."
In practice, his closed speech turned out to be more important. On November 6, at a meeting with the permanent members of the Security Council, Putin thanked the United Arab Emirates for facilitating the settlement and announced tripartite negotiations on the Ukrainian issue - according to him, they should begin "next week, on Tuesday", that is, November 10-11 in Abu Dhabi. As part of the Russian delegation, he appointed Presidential Assistant Vladimir Medinsky, Deputy Foreign Minister Mikhail Glozin, Deputy Foreign Minister Sergei Ryabkov and senior representatives of the General Staff Igor Kostyukov and Yuri Zhigerlovsky. The date of the working-level negotiations was previously announced by the US President's special envoy Steve Witkoff.
