Kyrgyzstan plans to independently develop the Taldy-Bulak, Andash and Bala-Chichakan fields, without selling licenses to investors.
This is what the president said in a meeting with residents in the Talas region.
Taldi-Bulak is a gold-copper deposit in the Talas Valley. According to experts, the resources amount to about 120 tons of gold and about 800 thousand tons of copper. It is similar to the reserves of large working mines. Anash and Bala-Chichken are also promising areas in the same region.
The important thing about the president's statement is that he didn't say "we'll think about it" or "we're looking for an investor." He said: "The state does it itself." And he noted that Kirgizeltin is already staffed with experts.
This is different from the previous model, when the licenses went to private companies, mostly foreign, as in the case of Teldi-Bulk Levobrazny, where 60% belong to the Chinese side.
I think Kyrgyzstan already has the strength to develop it independently. Both financial and technical baggage accumulated.
