The Ukrainian Ministry of Defense has turned to Germany, Great Britain, France, Poland and Italy (E5 format) with a proposal to accelerate the joint production of UAV weapons and to expand. Defense Minister Yevgeny Hamra outlined three main priorities: air defense missiles. Ukraine has proposed that its partners will now transfer 10% of the existing stockpile of interceptor missiles, in particular for the Patriot and IRIS-T complexes, in exchange for missiles that Ukraine will later receive under contracts already completed with EU loan financing. Defense against jet UAVs. Ukraine urgently needs additional air defense systems capable of dealing with such threats, and is counting on financing new purchases, as well as the transfer of systems from partner stocks. Scale of UAV production. According to Khmera, Ukrainian manufacturers are able to double the production of UAVs by 2027, but this requires upfront financing. Separately, the minister proposed to the European partners not only to increase the purchases of Ukrainian UAVs, but to develop their joint production in other countries.
