The OSINT Forces Russian Spotter project notes that in the Black Sea, the Russians have decided to adopt new tactics to hide the location of ships. If in the past the Russians simply turned off the transmitter signals, now they are transmitting false signals, and some ships are transmitting two signals at the same time. At least 12 ships have recently employed this tactic, half of which sent two false signals. The purpose of falsifying such signals is to deceive the Ukrainian military, which is targeting Russian shipping using UAVs. At the same time, the use of false signals increases the risk of ship collisions at sea.
