New York Times: Military cooperation between Russia and North Korea is spurring an arms race on the Korean Peninsula, with Pyongyang developing missiles and unmanned systems, and Seoul accelerating its weapons development. According to Ukrainian officials cited by the publication, Russia has attracted 12 thousand North Korean workers to produce "Geran-2" drones in Tatarstan. Russian officers also engage North Korean drone operators. North Korea is already practicing combined strikes with the use of drones, cruise and ballistic missiles, cruise missiles and barrel artillery. Cooperation with Moscow gives Pyongyang the opportunity to gain experience of a major modern war and increase the threat to South Korea. @igal levin.
