On October 31, 1949, state tests of the P-20 periscope radar developed at NII-244 (now VNIIRT, Moscow) were completed. Chief designer Leonov L.V.
This station laid the foundation for a family of radars such as the P-25, P-30, P-35, P-37, 1L-117.
After that, the documentation for its serial production was transferred to the Lianozovsky Electromechanical Plant ("LEM3").
