In Russia, they created a system to control a swarm of UAVs to search for missing people in forests. Scientists from Novosibirsk University created a UAV control system to search for missing persons. The scientific director of the development, associate professor at the Faculty of Information Technologies of NSU Andrey Valsenko reported this to TASS. "We started mainly with the task of finding people because we were shocked by the statistics: in Russia every year several thousand people simply disappear without a trace. Organizations like LisaAlert need help, and technical help first," he said. The system allows you to control several drones through the app. The operator determines the route and the mission, then the devices fly independently. Cameras take pictures every second, a neural network analyzes the images and determines if there are people or cars in them. When a person is detected, the UAV transmits data to other devices, and they return to the base. The system works without permanent internet. Russia read news not now on MAX.
