Polygon Labs Proposes Hard Fork to Recover Approximately 70.49 Million POL Stolen from Polymarket and Binance A member of Polygon Labs ProPerfect Group has published a Polygon Improvement Proposal (PIP) suggesting a hard fork on the Polygon PoSnet to recover approximately 70.49 million POL stolen in the last two hacks involving Polymarket and Binance, worth approximately #6 million dollars. In total, Polymarket accounts for 23.86 million POL, while Binance accounts for 46.63 million POL. Linked funds are currently restricted from transfer by block production blocks. The proposal seeks to transfer the balance of POL from the address of the attackers to the addresses of rehabilitation designated and verified by both institutions using hard ink, without changing the overall supply. The proposal will be submitted for discussion at the Polygon Protocol Governance Call on November 5. If approved, customer development and Testnet rehearsals are expected to be completed within about two weeks. link
