FBI Recommends Over & #036;6B Binance Hacker to North Korea, Alles THORNode Operators and Other Crypto Service Providers to Block Money Laundering Transactions The FBI attributed the theft of more than $6 billion in crypto assets from Binance to North Korean hackers, and identified the malicious cyber activity as TraderTraitor. The FBI, United States Secret Service (USSS), and IRS Criminal Investigations (IRS-CI) have observed attackers converting stolen assets primarily to ETH, with additional attention expected through DeFi and instant exchange services. The agencies urged THORNOde operators, RPC Node operators, instant exchanges, DeFi services, blockchain analytics companies, and other virtual asset service providers to block transactions involving or derived from addresses used by the attackers to infiltrate the stolen funds. The FBI also released a list of addresses operated by or closely linked to the attackers that hold the stolen or previously stolen property. link
