Binance says it has blocked several North Korea-related cyberattacks over the past week, with no asset losses.
Binance said on October 27 that its security team had successfully detected and blocked several North Korea-related cyber attacks over the past week, without damage to the company's systems or loss of assets. Binance noted that hacking groups linked to North Korea continued to carry out social engineering attacks under the "Contagious Interview" campaign, using fake job interviews, coding tests and requests to install software to trick targets into running malware. The exchange advised users to avoid installing unauthorized software or executing code from untrusted sources, adding that it will continue to strengthen security monitoring, threat detection and internal security controls.
