️🇱🇧🇨🇾 Ogero: Orange Marine's cable-laying vessel Sophie Germain arrived offshore near the Ibrahim River to begin installation of CADMOS-2, Lebanon's first new international submarine cable since 2010.
CADMOS-2 will replace the original Lebanon-Cyprus cable, which entered service in 1995. The new cable will have two landing points on the Lebanese coast to improve network reliability and strengthen Lebanon's connections to European networks.
Ogero expects the cable to enter service after installation and testing is complete.
