"Last year I signed an executive order to cancel the ban on supersonic flight over the US continent for the first time in more than 50 years.
I love hearing that. I keep asking Jared, how bad is it? Every time I'm with Jared, I say, how bad is that sonic boom or whatever you call it? And I said, how bad? He's going, not bad.
I said, so why don't we open it? Let's open it up. And they have many ways to control it.
So we ended this ban. That was one of the reasons we never went further. That's one of the reasons Concorde and the whole future of these supersonic planes never happened, and now it can happen."
