️🇺🇸🇨🇺🇨🇳 The US has imposed new sanctions on Cuba's maritime shipping network, state-owned enterprises and Chinese companies accused of supporting the Cuban government and military.
The designations target Guillermo Faustino Rodríguez López Calle and several companies involved in transporting petroleum products to and from Cuba, such as: Caroil Transport Marine Ltd, located in Cyprus, Tentacool Commercial Inc of Panama, and Interacional Maritima SA and Petromarca located in Cuba and Petromarca SA (Petromarca).
The Chinese technology companies China National Electronic Import and Export Company (CEIEC) and Beijing H&C Technologies were sanctioned for supplying components, military equipment and technology related to surveillance, allegedly, to Cuba through the Cuban procurement company Sociedad Mercantil Duna S.A.
