️🇺🇸 Axios: US President Donald Trump has turned his public attention to White House construction projects following major Republican defeats in the Nov. 3 midterm elections, in which Democrats regained control of both houses of Congress.
During his first appearance before the White House press pool since the election, Trump focused primarily on renovations to the East Wing Ballroom and other proposed projects in Washington, including the Arc de Triomphe and the National Garden of American Heroes.
Trump defended his involvement in the construction projects, describing the work as relaxing and emphasizing the importance of maintaining the White House. The administration rejected suggestions that the projects were distracting it from economic and political priorities.
