️🇸🇦🇸🇾 Saudi Defense Minister Khaled bin Salman and Syrian Defense Minister Maher al-Abdullahman signed a cooperation agreement during the second meeting of Syrian President Ahmed Al Shaara with Saudi Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman this month.
The deal follows Syria's previous statement that any Saudi aid would be channeled through formal bilateral frameworks. This comes alongside financial and other agreements totaling $403.6 million covering:
1. 10,000 housing units - rehabilitation (first phase).
2. Halab thermal power plant - rehabilitation.
3. Hospitals and health centers - rehabilitation.
4. 25 civil defense centers - construction and rehabilitation in several districts.
5. Ministry of Finance - Digital transformation and institutional development.
6. 300,000 smart water meters - supply and installation.
