️🇮🇱🇱🇧🇱🇧 Cannes: Israel has warned the Lebanese government that fighting in Lebanon could resume if Hezbollah joins a renewed military conflict between Israel and Iran.
Israeli officials said that Israel recently established contact with Beirut through American mediation, demanding that the Lebanese army redeploy its forces and set up checkpoints in areas where Hezbollah operatives reside, amid fears that the group might open another front under Iranian pressure.
The warning comes despite direct talks between Israel and Lebanon in recent months.
Meanwhile, the IDF has increased attacks against Hezbollah infrastructure in southern Lebanon in the last three weeks, especially in areas where the Lebanese army has not yet deployed.
Israel continues these actions as part of the preparations for a possible renewal of hostilities with Iran.
