️🇮🇷🇷🇺 Al Jazeera: Iran has confirmed that it has purchased Sukhoi Su-35 fighter jets made in Russia, but now deliveries are expected only after the end of the ongoing war, according to the spokesman of the Iranian army, Major General Mohammad Akarmini.
Acramini noted that the planes were originally supposed to enter service before the start of the conflict, but their arrival was delayed. According to him, the purchase agreement has already been concluded and the Iranian pilots have completed the training and preparations required to operate the advanced fighter jets.
Iran has previously acknowledged purchasing Russian Su-35 jets in January 2025 as part of efforts to modernize its aging air force. However, Tehran has not disclosed the number of aircraft purchased, the value of the contract or a confirmed delivery date, while Moscow has yet to publicly announce a new delivery schedule.
