️🇱🇧 L'Orient: The Prosecutor's Office of Beirut referred the former Minister of Economy Amin Salam, his brother Karim and the auditor Eli Aboud to the criminal court on charges of embezzlement, illicit enrichment and money laundering.
The bureau ordered the postponement of their arrest, which must be carried out by the criminal court. The case deals with the suspected misuse of Insurance Control Commission funds and dubious contracts.
The brothers also face forgery charges, while the charge of using forged documents was dropped under the General Amnesty Act.
