Today there is a large national consultation on the reform of the criminal law. This consultation seeks to listen to everyone in order to build a more fair, humane, transparent and impartial judicial system - one that leaves behind corruption, procedural delays and the criminalization of poverty. We recently agreed with the European Union on technical assistance to move forward in this direction. We also asked for the cooperation of the Office of the UN High Commissioner for Human Rights."
