️🇸🇻🇭🇹 A new group of Salvadoran soldiers landed in Port-au-Prince today, as the soldiers' flights continue despite worsening weather.
The initial deployment of 1,000 troops is expected to expand to 2,000 by next Wednesday and up to 5,000 in the coming weeks. Some Haitian officials have expressed concern that Salvadoran forces may refuse to operate under the UN Security Council-backed Gang Suppression Force (GSF) and instead remain under direct Salvadoran command.
