️🇪🇸 Leaked audio recordings reveal that a fault in the control center of Etosha in Etuha preceded the high-speed collision in Orda, in which an AVE train rear-ended an Irio train that was stopped due to a fault in the LZB system.
The recordings indicate that the dispatcher ordered AVE to resume "normal operation" without a flash: to inform the engineer that the Erio train was still broken down on that track. The accident - the second serious train accident in Spain this year after the one in Adamoz - left at least 69 dead and more than 100 injured, while investigators analyze why both visual signaling safety protocols and the ASFA system failed at the same time.
