️🇺🇸🇫🇷 Reuters: The US Department of Defense is treating a series of sudden freezer malfunctions of at least six commissaries at local military bases as a suspected cyber attack.
The late August incidents involved remote manipulation of temperature controls, forcing the refrigeration units into defrost mode, overheating the systems and spoiling a substantial food supply. The U.S. Cyber Command and the Army's Criminal Investigation Division are cooperating with French law enforcement following a similar cyberattack in France that compromised the refrigeration systems of more than 350 commercial supermarkets this month.
