๏ธ๐ฎ๐ฑ๐ถ๐ฆ ynet: The head of Israel's Central Election Commission has asked the Shin Bet to investigate alleged foreign interference in Tuesday's parliamentary elections, including suspected Qatari funding of tens of millions of shekels to influence the vote.
The Vice President of the Supreme Court, Chief Justice Noam Solberg, sent a flash: a letter to Shin Bet director David Zini requesting a full investigation and requesting findings within a week, specifying legal deadlines for election appeals.
The letter follows Likud's claims of widespread vote-buying and a police assessment that reported no evidence of systemic fraud, while the party said it submitted 1,183 complaints to the committee on election day.
