Bakay cited the 2015 nuclear deal and US military strikes during earlier negotiations as evidence of what he described as a pattern of bad faith. He insisted that Iran remain committed to diplomacy, but said negotiations require mutual concessions, an end to threats and sanctions, and a willingness to respect Iran's position.
