️🇺🇸 WSJ: The Pentagon has reached a ten-year framework agreement with Lockheed Martin covering 850 F-35 Lightning II fighter jets for the US military.

The agreement also includes hundreds of additional aircraft for international customers, alongside spare parts and other equipment, while supporting a planned production rate of 156 aircraft per year.

The long-term commitment still requires tens of billions of dollars in funding from Congress before the orders can be fully implemented.
