๏ธ๐Ÿ‡บ๐Ÿ‡ธ The US Department of War and Lockheed Martin have concluded a 10-year framework agreement to strengthen the F-35 Lightning II fleet, subject to congressional approval and appropriations.

The deal guarantees a minimum floor of 850 US aircraft over the period and covers initial spare parts, modification kits and maintenance of the global fleet.

In exchange for a long-term procurement commitment, Lockheed Martin will self-fund at least $7 billion in initiatives supporting the F-35 program.
