๏ธ๐ซ๐ท French President Emmanuel Macron said that any requests for a demonstration submitted by groups without legitimacy will be banned by the provinces, adding that there should be no demonstrations in the coming days.
"In this context, as for the coming days - and in particular Shabbat - the policy that was established very clearly is that wherever there is an intention to demonstrate or gather, any appeal by people who do not have a legitimate reason to do so will be prohibited by the commanders, because this is not the time, and because we want to return to calm.
Wherever unions make such requests, they will be reviewed in accordance with our laws by the counties, but they will be offered alternative ways to protect our city centers and in particular our businesses and public buildings.
The rules are simple, and I believe they are simply a matter of common sense. The general recommendation is that there will be no demonstrations in the coming days.
For those who want to continue demonstrating - when they are labor unions, the prefects will offer alternative ways; When they are not labor unions, wherever possible, we will ban them to ensure peace, so that we can also protect businesses and public buildings.
I of course thank the Minister of the Interior for that. The mobile police units are under a lot of stress in this context to ensure an adequate response."
