️🇬🇧🇷🇺 Telegraph: Russia is deploying fishing vessels to spy on Britain's critical undersea cables, according to a Telegraph analysis of four and a half years of vessel surveillance data.

The analysis identified 17 Russian ships spending extended periods at low speed close to the locations of the cables linking the UK with Europe and the US, with more than 500 incidents recorded.

A NATO official said: "We are fully aware of what Russian civilian fishing vessels are doing and where... Some of these ships have never seen a single fish on board."
