Security restrictions remain in place as officials prepare for another major protest planned for Saturday, as authorities seek to prevent a repeat of last weekend's violence.

President Emmanuel Macron also accused foreign leaders of exploiting the unrest, indirectly criticizing US President Donald Trump for claims linking the violence to Muslim immigrants and calling such comments "unacceptable" and "stupid".
