๏ธ๐ฎ๐ฑ๐ซ๐ท Cannes: Shin Bet chief David Zini arrived in France yesterday for a working visit with his French security colleagues.
The trip was scheduled in advance, but sources say the discussions focused on the fight against terrorism and radical Islam in light of recent unrest in France. According to reports, Zini met with senior officials at DGSI, France's internal security agency and the Shin Bet's counterpart, as well as DGSE, the Mossad's French equivalent.
The meetings come despite a diplomatic rift between Israel and France, including moves towards sanctions such as a ban on imports from the settlements. The Shin Bet refused to confirm or detail the meetings, saying that it does not refer to the commander's schedule.
