๐Ÿ‡ฑ๐Ÿ‡ง Prime Minister of Lebanon Nawaf Salam at the women's conference on the front line in Beirut:.

"It is not right for women to be at the forefront in times of crisis, yet remain last in line when decisions are made. Women's rights are not separate from the building of the state. No woman should need everyday heroism to secure education, health care, decent work or protection from violence.

Rebuilding means more concrete and roads. This means families returning safely, children returning to school, services and jobs restored. Women must help shape these priorities, with transparency and accountability.

The recovery requires stability, state authority over the entire territory of Lebanon and decisions on war and peace exclusively in the hands of constitutional institutions. Women's voices must be heard before decisions are made - not only after the damage has been done."
