🇮🇶 Shafaq News: The 17th Division of the Iraqi Army has assumed responsibility for security in Hawijah, southwest of Kirkuk, as part of a new deployment plan.

The division replaces the Federal Police units, which are moving to al-Latafia, south of Baghdad, to take over functions previously handled by the army.

The redeployment comes amid renewed ISIS activity around Hawijah, including recent attacks against federal police posts and surveillance equipment.
