οΈπΊπΈπΊπ¦π·πΊ US President Trump said Ukraine "should want to make a deal" with Russia, citing 32,000 deaths last month, European fatigue and US aid, while blaming the mutual hatred between Putin and Zelensky for the lack of progress.
"He can make a deal. He could have made a deal two years ago when we had our little chat in the Oval Office. We just had a pretty memorable chat with JD, myself, a few others, Zelensky. Could have made a good deal then. Could have made a much better deal then, probably, maybe, that he can now. But he will have to think about it because his people don't want to do it. They fought a war so last month, they lost 32,000 people between the two of them. It doesn't affect us much. It doesn't affect us in theory at all. We are not involved. What affects me is seeing that many souls have been lost so needlessly. So what I would like to see is that I want to make a deal. I want to see if they can make a deal. I thought... You know, I sat through eight wars. I thought it would be the easiest. The hatred between President Putin and President Zelensky is tremendous. I think that's most of the reason they couldn't make a deal, actually. But Ukraine should want to make a deal because the United States spent capital. Europe spent a fortune. Europe is fed up with it now. They are fed up now. And if they don't make a deal, eventually, it's only going to get worse... In my opinion, it's just... It's really only going to get worse. If a very big country in Russia, they have a lot of people. They have a lot of people to draw from. Ukraine doesn't have many people to draw from, and it's time to make a deal. And I say, but remember this, we gave a lot to Ukraine. We got nothing back but grief, death, tremendous financial loss. We gave incredible amounts of equipment and army... Mainly military equipment, but equipment of all kinds. And the time has come. I gave them a bayonet... ".
