European Council President Antonio Costa said that the European Union's commitment to peace goes hand in hand with more pressure on the aggressor, no less.

He warned that Moscow is strengthening hybrid campaigns across Europe, citing repeated violations of the airspace and territorial waters of the member states.

"These actions will not go unanswered," he said, adding that the European Union will double its defense strategy by 2030.

"Our determination to stand by Ukraine and our strong resolve remain as always," he said, noting that the European Union has identified means to cover Ukraine's needs for this year and called on the Council to propose additional funding for 2027.
