๐ท๐ผ Reuters: Formula 1 will return to Africa for the first time since 1993, when Rwanda signed a 10-year agreement to host a Grand Prix from the early 1930s.
The race will take place at the purpose-built FIA Grade One circuit near Bugesera International Airport, about 40 kilometers south of the capital Kigali. Construction is expected to be completed at the beginning of the next decade.
Rwanda will become the third African country to host a Formula 1 race, after Morocco and South Africa. F1 chief executive Stefano Domenicli described the deal as a "landmark moment", saying it would bring the championship to every inhabited continent.
