๏ธ๐ฎ๐ท๐ธ๐ฆ๐พ๐ช Spokesman for the Iranian Foreign Ministry, Esmaeil Baghaei, on regional consultations and Iran's offer to mediate between Saudi Arabia and Yemen:
"But regarding the talks that took place last night, yes, the consultations between Iran and the countries of the region are an ongoing process. We are very concerned about the events taking place in the Arabian Peninsula. We have repeatedly expressed our willingness to use our good offices to help facilitate the dialogue between the parties.
We believe that the continuation and escalation of tensions will only serve as an opportunity for Israel to take advantage of the situation in the region. In this context, we certainly do not approve of the continuation of fire and war between two Islamic countries; Our region is already tense enough because of the actions of the United States and Israel. At the same time, we have always stated our position: that the people of Yemen have the right to live life with dignity, without pressure, sanctions and blockade. What we are witnessing in the last ten to twelve years is unjustified, both from an Islamic point of view and according to international law. In any case, we also declared our willingness in the dialogue last night to help solve the problem."
