πΊπΈπ»πͺπ¨π΄ US Attorney General Todd Blanche has announced that Colombian businessman Alvaro Pulido Vargas, an associate of Alex Saab, has been arrested by the Homeland Security Task Force and is now facing two separate federal indictments from 2019 and 2021, allegedly for 2021 funds and a 2021 scheme related to the Maduro regime.
Pulido was taken from a Caracas prison, where he had been held since 2023 on an unrelated local corruption charge, and transferred to a U.S. detention center in Florida, with prosecutors alleging the scheme funneled about $350 million through financial institutions in Antigua and Barbuda, Malta and the United Arab Emirates.
