"If President Trump negotiated this with Putin, please tell us when the ceasefire begins. We are ready, and we will accept it."

The announcement followed days of escalating tensions between Trump and Zelensky, after Trump eased sanctions on Russian diesel exports and called on Ukraine to replace Zelensky on Saturday; Zelensky responded on ABC that Ukraine would hold elections if Russia agreed to a 60-day ceasefire and said that Kiev was ready to stop attacks on Russian refineries if Moscow stopped damaging Ukrainian energy infrastructure.
